Description
We are looking for a Finance Officer to take charge of the financial health of our company by administering accounting operations to meet legal requirements.
You should be familiar with software and tools for auditing, invoices and budget preparations. Our ideal candidate demonstrates interest in managing accounting activities, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable. You should also have excellent organizational skills and be able to handle time-sensitive tasks.
Ultimately, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of our financial transactions and procedures.
Responsibilities
Prepare budget variance reports and payable and/or receivable invoices.
Monitor, record, and reconcile finances for contracts received.
Maintain the company’s financial records, payroll information, balance sheets, and other financial records as per the requirements.
Work with account, finance and other cross-functional teams to get a deep understanding of the processes and software data flows, and translate business requirements into system functional specifications
Ensure timely payment of monthly expenses such as invoices, employee payrolls, and other utility bills.
Use bookkeeping software to maintain a clear & concise record of every transaction and other relevant information such as bill payments, statistical & financial reports, and monies received from clients.
Complete & maintain tax returns, tax remittance forms, and other relevant government documents to ensure employer compliance.
Support internal audit processes to maintain the accuracy & efficacy of the company’s financial records.
Assist management with required financial records for fiscal projections.
Identify variations in finances and assist in developing the action plan accordingly.
Work as a subject matter expert with Engineering team and other technical teams to deliver system solutions requirement and manage post go live operations
Coordinate and facilitate user acceptance testing and conduct end-user training with the support of the development team
Qualifications
Proven work experience as a Finance Officer or similar role
Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures and software
Experience using financial software and conducting software requirement analysis
Advanced MS Excel skills
Knowledge of financial regulations
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Sharp time management skills
Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
BSc degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
Professional qualification as a CFA/CPA is considered a plus
